Baby Walkers and Locomotor Development

Overuse of baby walkers may hinder early locomotor development. Infants who spend two or more hours a day in walkers or bouncers may be slower in learning to sit unsupported and less able to crawl effectively. (Pediatric News 21(4)52, April 1987)
