Home surface materials and bronchial obstruction

Children living in homes with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics and textile wall materials are at increased risk of suffering from bronchial obstruction.

PVC materials are popular because they are inexpensive and are easy to clean. However, they give off harmful emissions. (American Journal of Public Health 89(2)188-192, February 1999)
