Diet and premenstrual breast pain

High cholesterol levels and a high fat diet increase the risk that women will suffer breast pain prior to their monthly period according to a report from Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada.

A study of over 60 women revealed that those who suffered breast pain consumed an average of 37.5 percent of their total caloric intake as fat, while those who did not report breast pain consumed only 33.7 percent of their calories as fat.
