Maternal smoking and childhood asthma

Children whose mothers smoke are more likely to develop asthma than those children whose mothers do not smoke. Passive smoke exposure doubles the risk of childhood asthma. (Pediatrics 85:505, April 1990) Copyright 1990 Phylis Austin
