Exercise reduces death risk in elderly

High-intensity exercise performed by elderly persons may lower their death rate by 30 percent. Vigorous activity lowered the risk even more than less activity. (Archives of Internal Medicine 158:1499-1505, July 27, 1998) Copyright 1998 Phylis Austin
